Ingredients for Chicken Chowmien

  • Boneless chicken: ½ kg
  • Black pepper powder: ¼ tsp
  • Soy sauce:  1 tbsp
  • Oil: 1tbsp
  • Salt: to taste
  • Noodles: ½ pack
  • Carrots allumetted: 1 cup
  • Capsicum allumetted: 1 cup
  • Cabbage shredded: 1 cup
  • Garlic chopped: 1 tbsp
  • Onion sliced: 1 cup


Chow mein sauce

  • Ketchup: 1 cup
  • Soy sauce: 1 tbsp
  • Chilli sauce: 2 tbsp
  • Black pepper:r ½ tsp
  • Red chilli flakes: 1 tsp
  • Brown sugar: 1tbsp
  • Red chilli powder: 1tsp
  • White pepper powder:  ½ tsp
  • Garam masala powder: ¼ tsp
  • Salt: to taste


Method of Chicken Chow mein

Chicken marination

  • Marinate chicken.
  • For marination take the chicken in a bowl.
  • Furthermore add black pepper powder, soy sauce, salt and oil.
  • Now mix it thoroughly.
  • Place it for 12-15 minutes.


Chowmien sauce
  • Firstly put ketchup in a separate bowl.
  • Secondly add chilli sauce, soy sauce, red chilli flakes, black pepper, white pepper.
  • Finally, add garam masala.
  • Hence your sauce is ready and set it aside.


Noodles cooking
  • Boil water in another pot. Put ¼ tsp salt, oil and noodles in simmering water.
  • Allow it to cook.
  • After 80% cooking takes them out from hot water and rinse with cold water.
  • Due to this noodles will not stick to each other.


Final Phase of Cooking Chow mein
  • To prepare chicken chow mien to pour oil in the pan and add garlic sauce.
  • Fry it for a minute
  • Put marinated chicken in a pan and cook it to colour change. Cook it with stirring and mixing.
  • Now put vegetables for example carrots, cabbage and stir fry them for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Then add capsicum, onion and chicken chow mien sauce and cook on high flame for about 2 minutes.
  • Avoid overcooking. Try to keep your vegetables crunchy.
  • Finally, add boiled noodles and mix.
  • Delicious and yummy chicken chow mien is ready.
  • Serve it.
